How To Find a licensed bondsman in California
Use this California Department of Insurance (CDI) search feature to look up a bail bond provider’s license. Details include name, DBA, license type, business address, bond information and more.
You can search for a bonds company by either License Number or browse the listings with a bail business Name Search.
If you are an agent or an insurance company looking for details on a particular license, enter it directly into the License Number search form. If you are a consumer, or don’t know the license number, use the Name Search to find it in our records. From there, you can continue on to view the full details available.

When you get information returned to you be advised that the license status information shown represents information taken from the California Department of Insurance (CDI) licensing database at the time of the inquiry. That information may not always be current. For example, items sent to the CDI may be pending review or simply may not have yet been entered into our licensing database. Complaints and ongoing investigations are confidential and, therefore, not available.
